Plug-in is not working on my Mac OS X

So I got the plug-in to work finally....but I had some weird stuff going on before it finally did. This is what was going on:

So I down loaded the Adobe 8.0 just fine. I installed the plug-ins. I can see the plug-ins when I click the apple key and hold "i" down and the Adpne Reader.app info window comes up. The plug-ins are checked under the plug-ins drop box. These plug-ins include FileOpen.acroplugin, FileOpen7.acroplugin, and FileOpen8.acroplugin. I also verified that under preferences ->General->Application Startup->use only certified plug-ins box is NOT checked. So all of this seems fine; however, when I go to look at a chapter of NR, my adobe freaks out saying that I am missing info and that it will route me to the adobe web page for help. There it trys to down load the plug-ins again? I don't know what is wrong here...any help?

If anyone knows what could have caused this, go ahead and reply for others who may have this problem, but I'm taken care of.
