Hello:

I got the following message when I tried to test my FileOpen.api installation: "The application or DLL .... is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette." The path is fine. Any help would be appreciated.

The message you quote is most likely generated by Windows, not by either the plugin or the browser. This sounds like you might be trying to execute the plugin, or some other non-executable file. That isn't the way it works. You just copy the file into your Acrobat or Adobe Reader plug_ins directory. You have to have a valid Acrobat/Adobe Reader installation to begin with, as well as a browser that can read PDF files using Acrobat/Adobe Reader.

Did you go through the detailed installation instructions
at http://www.nr.com/plugin/plugin_install.html? If so, at exactly which step do you encounter a problem?
