I try to use the routine gaulag (I am using f77), but I need a precision less than 1.d-6, when I make n greater than 400 (for the case of alpha=2.d0)there happend a porblem and the program doesnt accept!!
what sould Imake big or small: EPS?MAXIT? or what?

If you really need 400 quadrature points you are misusing gaulag. You should be able to get a precision of 1.e-6 with at most 20 - 40 points, and usually far fewer. You can often get 1.e-10 or better with this many points. Make sure your function really has the behavior gaulag expects, and that is has no singularities near the range of integration.
