To the people who wrote NR books...

Probably all the people here in this community whould be happy to pay 1 cent each to finance the costs of just ONE page more in the book. The page should contain an example. Just a single example. I have never seen in my life a science book without examples.

Dear Kaniello,

The Numerical Recipes Example Books (one in each language) are exactly what you're describing: one example per recipe. You can find purchasing information by following the links either to Cambridge University Press or Amazon at www.nr.com.

Best wishes,

Hi guys

I am new to using four1 and spctrm and I am wondering if there is a detailed description of the four1 and spctrm code on page 13 anywhere - especially a C/C++ version. I have read the book over and over but deciphering what the 'uncommented' codes in the book are doing is another thing!

Cheers
