I have Windows 7 and Adobe Reader 9 with the file open plugin installed for "offline" reading. Offline is helpful for me when I am not connected to the internet. If I attempt to open a NR pdf I get an error message that states "There was an error contacting the server. Please contact the publisher and present the text of this message." Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

The problem might be that the file was never opened while you were on-line, which would have downloaded the DRM data for later, off-line use.

Or, the problem might be with the way that Adobe 9 interacts with Windows 7.

This is exactly the kind of problem that caused us to stop supporting the FileOpen access method. Our preferred access methods now are Empanel and Rollover, see here (http://www.nr.com/bookreader_chooser.html). Unfortunately, these don't support off-line access; this was a nice feature, but only a tiny fraction of users ever used it.
