Hi, I have a similar problem as germ, I have a hardcopy of NR at the department library, but from time to time I just want to look at some recipe and I don't want to go all the way to the library to check the book. I used to have my own copy, but someone "borrowed" it from my office a long time ago. I have installed Fileopen but my acroread 7.0.8 (FreeBSD 6.2-STABLE) keeps saying "Unable to connect to server. Error #2115. Please checj your internet connection and try again". My internet connection is working just fine, as you can see by reading this post.

I hope NR would consider chance this policy.

Gustavo, the error you mention occurs because FileOpen's linux (and FreeBSD?) plug-in is brain-dead about making an SSL connection to the permission server. We've discussed this with the FileOpen folks, and they say that they'll fix it soon. However, we wouldn't try to hold our breath until they do! We regret that we are unable to serve linux and FreeBSD users at this time. We'll try to fix this when we can.

For Linux, we think this problem is now fixed!
